TV CHOSUN’s weekend mini-series ‘Doctor Shin’ (Written by Phoebe/Im Sung-han, Directed by Lee Seung-hoon) has been a hot topic! With its shocking ‘brain change’ premise, the show explored human desire, instinct, and a tangled romance, featuring the unpredictable plot twists that are a signature of Writer Phoebe.
Jung Yi-chan, who played the genius doctor Shin Ju-shin—a man with god-like surgical skills who dared to attempt the forbidden ‘brain change surgery’ for his love, Momo (Baek Seo-ra)—shared, “Since this was my first lead role, I put my whole heart into living as Shin Ju-shin. I am sincerely grateful to the writer and director for always supporting me and believing in me.”
He added, “I had such a great time filming thanks to Momo, Jin-ju, Yong-jung, and Bara, whom I spent a year with, as well as the staff who kept the atmosphere warm and the seniors who looked after us. We all became so close that I feel quite sad that it’s over. I want to thank everyone once again and will cherish these precious moments for a long time.”
Jung Yi-chan garnered huge attention throughout the broadcast for his charming portrayal of the unique character typical of Writer Im Sung-han. While he may have seemed robot-like at first, his addictive charm quickly won over fans online.
The shocking narrative of TV CHOSUN’s weekend mini-series ‘Doctor Shin’ reaches its climax in the final episode (Episode 16), airing today (the 3rd) at 10:30 PM on TV CHOSUN and Coupang Play.
