Dokbak Tour 4 Wraps Up Episode 50! Season 5 Returns June 6 with Even Harsher Penalties

“From the next trip, we really need to go with something strong. Definitely harsh!”

Hong In-gyu was confirmed as the member with the most penalties during the Busan and Nagasaki trip in ‘Dokbak Tour 4,’ but he delivered a huge laugh with a plot twist: he actually enjoyed the ‘X-Jjamppong,’ a strange food concoction created by the members.

In the 50th episode of Channel S’s ‘Ni-don-nae-san Dokbak Tour 4’ (co-produced by Channel S and SK Broadband) aired on the 16th, Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, Yoo Se-yoon, and Hong In-gyu enjoyed a packed itinerary exploring the city and hot springs of Nagasaki, Japan. Specifically, Hong In-gyu, who became the ‘most penalized,’ had to eat ‘X-Jjamppong’ made with Vietnamese chilies and sake, but he shocked the ‘Dokbak-z’ by reacting, “It’s actually so delicious!” This led the members to realize they need “even harsher penalties next time,” ramping up expectations for Season 5. After concluding Season 4 with Hong In-gyu’s successful meal, ‘Dokbak Tour’ will return to screens on Saturday, June 6, at 9 PM after a two-week break.

After visiting a one-of-a-kind penguin aquarium, the ‘Dokbak-z’ moved to an oden restaurant where a grandmother owner served them omakase-style. ‘Foodie’ Kim Jun-ho was nervous when he noticed the menu had no prices, but he gave a thumbs up after tasting the oden, saying, “Mmm, it’s so delicious.” Meanwhile, the owner complimented Yoo Se-yoon, saying he looked like TVXQ’s Changmin. Yoo Se-yoon jokingly apologized, “Changmin, I’m sorry!” while singing TVXQ’s hit song ‘Mirotic,’ bringing the house down. The group fully enjoyed the variety of oden served. Later, they had the owner pick a personal item to decide who would pay, and Yoo Se-yoon ended up paying for the meal.

With full stomachs, the ‘Dokbak-z’ headed to their second-day accommodation. The two-story private house booked by Jang Dong-min had a strong local Japanese vibe, and the members were satisfied, noting it had “great vibes.” They then played an RC car racing game for the accommodation fee of approximately 360,000 KRW, and after a close match, Kim Dae-hee came in last.

The next morning, the ‘Dokbak-z’ headed to Unzen Hot Spring Village. After a hour-and-a-half bus ride, they were amazed by the steam rising from the village. While exploring, Kim Jun-ho shared a legend about a spot called ‘Oito Jigoku.’ He explained, “A woman named Oito lived here and was caught cheating by her husband, whom she then murdered and was eventually executed. It’s said that hot spring water began to gush from where she died,” leaving the ‘Dokbak-z’ shivering. Terrified by the legend, Hong In-gyu prayed with his hands together, “I will live a good life and not go to hell. I will strive for peace in my family,” while Jang Dong-min remarked, “This really feels like hell. It’s similar to the place in the movie ‘Along with the Gods’.”

After the Unzen tour, they headed to Obama Village, famous for its seaside hot springs. Kim Jun-ho, who had booked a private open-air bath, led the group to a bath with a stunning ocean view. He also revealed a shocking ‘jeans swimsuit’ he brought specifically for the occasion. In a cheerful atmosphere, the ‘Dokbak-z’ soaked in the bath to relieve their fatigue. Finally, a game using toy turtles was played to determine the ‘most penalized’ person, and Hong In-gyu finished last, confirming his status.

The penalty involved eating ‘X-Jjamppong,’ a ‘weird food’ concept where each member bought different ingredients to mix together. They gathered at a restaurant and brought out ingredients like geoduck, Vietnamese chilies, and sake. After mercilessly throwing everything in, they handed the ‘X-Jjamppong’ to Hong In-gyu. However, after a cautious bite, Hong In-gyu surprised everyone by devouring it, saying, “This is surprisingly okay? It’s delicious!” Kim Dae-hee reflected that “penalties should be harsher from now on,” and Kim Jun-ho coldly judged that “we’ve fallen into a rut.” Even Hong In-gyu shouted, “From the next trip, we really need to go with something strong. Definitely harsh!” bringing Season 4 to a determined close.

‘Dokbak Tour’ Season 5, returning even more intensely after a two-week break, will premiere on Saturday, June 6, at 9 PM.
