“Don’t Touch Her!” Kim Bum Reveals a Darker Side Behind His Bright Image in ‘Today is Sold Out’

In the 6th episode of the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Today is Sold Out’ aired on the 7th, Kim Bum took on the role of Seo Eric, the Executive Director of global skincare brand ‘L’Etoile’, bringing a fresh energy to the show with a side of his acting we’ve never seen before.

The tension between Eric and his sister Michelle (played by Ok Ja-yeon), the Vice President of L’Etoile, has officially begun. After microbes were detected in an essence and Dam Ye-jin’s (played by Chae Won-bin) launch broadcast was changed to pre-orders, Michelle asked if Ye-jin had acted without consultation. Eric warned her with a chilling expression, saying, “Don’t touch Dam Ye-jin.” When Michelle pressed him about his decision to continue follow-up broadcasts with Ye-jin, Eric honestly revealed his inner feelings, comparing himself to gum that makes his sister’s anxiety vanish, admitting he wanted to be someone necessary.

Meanwhile, Eric felt his one-sided love for Ye-jin was in danger. He rushed to find her after the launch broadcast, only to leave feeling lonely after spotting her in a hug with Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop). Later, when Matthew questioned L’Etoile’s official stance that Ye-jin had acted alone, Eric firmly replied that he doubted the microbe levels and would proceed with follow-up broadcasts with her. However, when Matthew asked if he thought Ye-jin would be okay until then, Eric was left speechless, his eyes wavering.

Kim Bum added depth to his character by revealing the dark side hidden behind Eric’s bright exterior. While he was always smiling and kind around Ye-jin, he maintained a cold voice and expression with Michelle and Matthew, creating a stark contrast that heightened the drama’s intensity. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see how Kim Bum’s versatile presence will unfold in ‘Today is Sold Out’.

The SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Today is Sold Out’, starring Kim Bum, Ahn Hyo-seop, Chae Won-bin, and Go Doo-shim, airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 PM.
