Ahead of the 6th episode, the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Scarecrow’ released new stills capturing everything from the awkward face-to-face between Kang Tae-joo (Park Hae-soo) and Lee Ki-hwan (Jung Moon-sung) to the emotional reunion of Lee Ki-bum (Song Geon-hee) and Kang Soon-young (Seo Ji-hye).
In the previous episode, Lee Ki-bum was named a suspect in the Gang-seong serial murder case. With search warrants issued, detectives including Kang Tae-joo raided his home and bookstore, discovering two pieces of evidence that told completely different stories. While a photo proved Lee Ki-bum’s alibi for the third crime, the handbag of survivor Park Ae-sook (Hwang Eun-hoo) was found at the Gang-seong Bookstore. Amidst the growing confusion, Kang Tae-joo began to suspect Lee Ki-bum’s older brother, Lee Ki-hwan, claiming there is another suspect!
In the newly released photos, the Gang-seong Bookstore is a mess following the search and seizure. Kang Tae-joo is seen tidying up the bookstore on behalf of Lee Ki-hwan, while Lee Ki-hwan looks visibly uncomfortable pacing around. With Lee Ki-hwan now suspected as a new lead in the serial murders and Kang Tae-joo having pointed the finger at his brother, fans are anxious to see if their friendship can ever be repaired.
Other photos capture a brief visit between Lee Ki-bum and Kang Soon-young at the police station. Lee Ki-bum’s hollow, dry gaze and Kang Soon-young’s haggard face reflect the immense pain and sorrow they’ve endured in just a few days. The sight of Kang Soon-young tightly holding Lee Ki-bum’s handcuffed hand is especially heartbreaking.
The production team of ‘Scarecrow’ shared, “In today’s (5th) 6th episode, Kang Tae-joo becomes furious upon discovering that Lee Ki-bum was detained, assaulted, and coerced into giving a statement during an illegal investigation.” They added, “As new clues intertwine, another suspect will emerge. Please stay tuned to see who the real culprit is in this series of twists and turns!”
