Actor Nana is gearing up for a bold transformation into a criminal psychologist.
According to reports on the 7th, Nana has been cast in the title role of the upcoming drama ‘Ma Teresa’.
‘Ma Teresa’ depicts a fierce power struggle within university society and private school foundations. The story follows a woman who stops at nothing to reclaim the university that once belonged to her mother, solving complex cases and taking down her enemies in a way that is both ruthless and satisfying.
Nana will play the genius criminal psychologist Ma Teresa. Despite the gentle image associated with her name, she is actually a misanthrope. Blessed with the genes of a brilliant mother and a handsome father, she is as intelligent as she is beautiful. She uses her genius mind solely to satisfy her own desires and recover what was taken from her.
In a real-life twist, Nana recently caught a robber who broke into her home and attacked her mother. Both Nana and her mother suffered injuries requiring three to five weeks of recovery. Now, she is returning to the screen to face criminals once again. Following her successful performance in ENA’s ‘Climax’, Nana is also awaiting the release of Netflix’s ‘Scandal’ later this year. ‘Ma Teresa’ will mark her first-ever title role since her debut.
The series will be directed by Jang Young-woo, known for ‘Queen of Tears’, and written by Kwon Sora and Seo Jae-won, the writers behind ‘The Guest’, ‘Bulgasal’, and ‘Donggung’.
