A historic moment has arrived as the group achieves their first 500 million streams on Spotify!
ENHYPEN’s ‘Bite Me’ and ‘Sweet Venom’ have reached some seriously impressive milestones on the platform.
According to Spotify on the 16th, ‘Bite Me,’ the title track from their 4th mini album ‘DARK BLOOD,’ recorded 500,019,542 cumulative streams as of the 14th. This marks ENHYPEN’s first-ever song to surpass the 500 million mark since their debut.
On the same day, ‘Sweet Venom,’ the title track from their 5th mini album ‘ORANGE BLOOD,’ reached 200,028,930 streams, becoming the team’s 7th song to cross 200 million streams.
‘Bite Me’ is a pop track about reuniting with a destined partner and the longing for that person to bite them again. With captivating vocals, a minimal yet addictive melody, and a performance depicting boys thirsting for blood, it has completely captured the hearts of global listeners. Even though it has been three years since its release, the song showed its power by adding another 100 million streams in just nine months after crossing 400 million last August.
‘Sweet Venom’ is a funk-pop song built on a groovy bassline, telling a story of determination to stay by ‘your’ side even if poison spreads through the body. Moving away from their usual dark and powerful image, ENHYPEN showcased a softer side with a subtle sexiness. This fresh approach to their performance continues to be loved by fans.
ENHYPEN has now produced a total of 19 songs with over 100 million streams on Spotify. While ‘Bite Me’ has over 500 million, ‘FEVER’ and ‘Drunk-Dazed’ have surpassed 400 million, and ‘Polaroid Love’ has over 300 million. ‘Sweet Venom,’ ‘Given-Taken,’ and ‘XO (Only If You Say Yes)’ have all recorded over 200 million streams. Additionally, 12 other tracks, including ‘Future Perfect (Pass the MIC),’ ‘SHOUT OUT,’ and ‘Tamed-Dashed,’ have crossed the 100 million mark. The total cumulative streams for all their released songs have reached approximately 7.1 billion.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN kicked off their ‘ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘BLOOD SAGA” with a spectacular start at Seoul’s KSPO DOME from the 1st to the 3rd, meeting about 32,250 fans. They will continue their global journey through South America and North America in July and August, Macau in October, and a four-dome tour in Japan from December to February next year. Their tour will span a total of 32 shows across 21 cities worldwide, including Asia and Europe, continuing until March next year.
