Jo Woo-ri is making a huge impression in ‘Today’s Sold Out’ with a performance that switches between “hot and cold” in an instant!
In episodes 7 and 8 of the SBS drama ‘Today’s Sold Out’ (aired May 13 and 14), Jo Woo-ri played Moon Ae-ra, the owner of ‘Moon Cafe’ in Deokpung Village. She brought so much energy to the show with her multi-dimensional acting, blending prickliness with genuine humanity.
Moon Ae-ra proved she is a “professional genius” with her deep love for her work. While she beamed with a bright smile after perfecting her macarons, she showed a totally different side by responding to her neighborhood friend Park Kwang-mo (played by Jo Bok-rae) in a rough dialect.

The comedy peaked with Moon Ae-ra’s sharp attitude toward people from Seoul. When Kang Mu-won (played by Yoon Byung-hee) ordered coffee in a Seoul accent, she warily replied, “Seoul people pay double!” Even while grumbling “Stop acting like you know everything” when he praised her coffee, she could not hide her smile, perfectly nailing the “tsundere” vibe. Jo Woo-ri naturally portrayed the warm heart hidden behind a chic and indifferent exterior.
Moon Ae-ra also sparked laughter with her blunt answer when asked what kind of man she likes, saying, “The exact opposite of that kind.” She even created a chilly atmosphere by critiquing Kang Mu-won’s outfit, telling him, “Especially that watch, just looking at it makes my blood boil, so take it off quickly.” Jo Woo-ri’s delicate portrayal of these shifting emotions has fans curious about Moon Ae-ra’s backstory.
Fans might remember Jo Woo-ri from her role as the “campus goddess” Hyun Soo-ah in the 2018 JTBC drama ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty,’ where she played a character with a different public and private persona. She continues to captivate viewers with her wide range of emotions. You can catch her in ‘Today’s Sold Out’ every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 PM.
