SBS, the go-to channel for election broadcasts, has unveiled the lineup for “2026 People’s Choice” ahead of the 9th nationwide local elections taking place on June 3.
This broadcast aims to go beyond simple information delivery, focusing on “Barrier-free” and “Citizen Empathy.” The most eye-catching addition is Big Ocean, the world’s first sign language idol group! They plan to share the meaning of an inclusive election through their voting encouragement song, “To Vote, To Tomorrow.”
Joining the team is star lecturer Lee Ji-young, who will act as the “Election Expert” by clearly analyzing 30 years of local autonomy. Comedian Kim Hye-sun will bring high energy as the “Vitality Aide,” while the beloved “Romantic Couple” Kim Hae-jun and Na Bo-ram will highlight the value of voting from the citizens’ perspective.

Known for its creative graphics every election, SBS is bringing the heat again with Extended Reality (XR) technology combining AI and Augmented Reality (AR). Look forward to themes tailored to each district and humorous graphics that maximize the candidates’ charms.
Nam Seung-mo, the SBS Election Broadcast Planning Team Leader, stated, “For ‘2026 People’s Choice,’ we focused on showing that politics isn’t something difficult or distant, but a precious process that fills the gaps in our lives.” He added, “With this epic lineup, we will create a festival that the whole family can enjoy.”
“2026 People’s Choice” will air live on election day, June 3, starting in the afternoon and continuing until the voting ends and the final counts are in.
