Gabee Takes Over ‘Super Radio’! Pressure as Haha’s Successor? “I Was Trained by Park Myung-soo”

A press conference for the KBS Cool FM reorganization was held on the 11th at the Kong Studio in the KBS main building.

The event was attended by DJ Paul Kim, Gabee, announcer Heo Yu-won, CP Kim Hong-beom, and PDs Oh Gwi-na, Kwon Ye-ji, and Hong A-ram.

Stepping in as the new DJ for ‘Super Radio’, Gabee shared her bold ambitions, saying, “I’ve always wanted to be a radio DJ. I’ll work hard and have fun to shake things up during the competitive 2 PM to 4 PM slot.”

Gabee added, “Not many people my age listen to the radio, so I hope to be the starting point for attracting younger listeners. I believe that if I’m having fun, the listeners will too. I’ll share everyday stories in my own funky way.”

When asked about the pressure of succeeding Haha, she laughed and said, “Raising the tension is like an automated system already built into my body.” She showed confidence, adding, “I was well-trained while being a long-time guest on Park Myung-soo’s radio.”

PD Hong A-ram also brought laughter to the scene, joking, “Just seeing Gabee arrive in such revealing clothes despite the cold weather shows how hot the program is.”

When asked about the guest she most wants to invite, she sparked laughter by saying, “While there’s no one I can confidently say ‘of course they’ll come,’ ‘Queen Gabee’ active in Hollywood can always make an appearance.”

She also revealed her ambitious dream, stating, “To be honest, a guest I’d love to have on someday is Beyoncé.”

Regarding her high energy, Gabee laughed, “Even on days I’m not feeling great, I actually feel better the moment I stand in front of a camera. I think it would be harder for me to lower my tension.” PD Hong A-ram joked back, “The production team is always ready to lower the microphone,” making everyone laugh.

The production team also mentioned they are preparing various segments to maximize Gabee’s energy. They teased, “Since Gabee said she loves ‘training’ introverts, we plan to cast various introvert guests,” raising expectations.

Additionally, she plans to showcase her unique charm by introducing music from various genres based on her wide musical taste.

Meanwhile, ‘Paul Kim’s Gayo Gwangjang’, ‘Gabee’s Super Radio’, and ‘Heo Yu-won’s Refreshing Morning’ will premiere on the 11th at 5 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM, respectively. They can be heard via KBS Cool FM (89.1MHz), the radio app ‘KBS Kong’, and ‘KBS Plus’.
