Actress Gong Hyo-jin opened up about dropping to 44kg due to extreme stress while filming ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’.
On May 19, a video titled “ENFP Gong Hyo-jin’s Stream of Consciousness” was uploaded to her YouTube channel, ‘For the Time Being, Gong Hyo-jin’.
When asked about her weight loss secrets, Gong Hyo-jin honestly shared, “I think most people have a target weight. Mine is around 50 to 51kg.” She added, “I’m usually 51kg in the morning and 52kg at night, so there’s a difference of about 600 to 800g in a single day.”
Mentioning that many people still watch ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’, she revealed, “I was around 53kg when the drama started. But then I had a car accident and felt completely mentally broken. I was devastated that I had to film more than half the drama in that state, so I couldn’t eat and was under a lot of stress.”

Gong Hyo-jin surprised fans by saying, “There are times in the drama where I look really thin. My weight fluctuated by 10kg from the start to the end.” She recalled, “By the end, I had dropped to 44 or 46kg. I didn’t think I’d ever see that weight again in my life. Everyone said it looked like I was walking with my arms.” She explained that the stress made it impossible to eat, leading to the rapid weight loss.
When the production team asked if her goals had changed since she is now 51kg, Gong Hyo-jin admitted, “I don’t think 46kg is right for me. It was even hard just to sit down.”
