‘The Seasons – Sung Si Kyung’s Gomak Namchin’ delivered an unforgettable Friday night with a lineup of shining solo artists.

The May 15 episode of KBS 2TV’s music talk show ‘The Seasons – Sung Si Kyung’s Gomak Namchin’ featured Rain, Kyuhyun, Tiffany Young, and Lee Chaeyeon.

Rain kicked things off with a performance of his new song ‘Feel It (너야)’, connecting deeply with the audience. He revealed that this appearance was both the first and last broadcast for the track, noting that he is currently focusing on club shows and direct fan meetings. He also shared a funny truth, admitting that he avoids music shows because he finds taking ending poses awkward.

Calling himself the “son of KBS,” Rain shared a story about rushing to meet Park Jin Young before his debut to sing the KBS logo song that became familiar to the whole nation. He surprised everyone by adding that, according to Park Jin Young, that logo song was actually his top earner in royalties at the time.

Sung Si Kyung and Rain bonded over their experiences as frequent guests at PSY’s concerts. Sung Si Kyung lamented, “My dream is to be a guest in Seoul, but they only call me for far-off provinces,” and jokingly revealed that only “difficult” stars like G-Dragon or Rosé get called to the capital area. Rain declared that he’s done stripping at PSY’s ‘Summertime Festival’ because they make him do it too often, though he added that his own concerts are an exception, leaving the set in laughter.

Next up was the trusted vocalist Kyuhyun. Having been in a musical since January, Kyuhyun caught everyone’s attention by revealing he is currently abstaining from alcohol to give his best performance. “I don’t think about alcohol at all. I don’t make appointments, and except for the show, I don’t even talk to people and just stay home,” he said, showing his professional side by adding, “I think that’s how it is when you’re dealing with something truly precious. Once it becomes the priority, everything else disappears.”

Also close friends with Sung Si Kyung, Kyuhyun expressed his deep affection, saying, “I sang along to every single song from start to finish at his concert. I even got angry at myself, thinking, ‘Do I really like Si Kyung hyung this much?'” Kyuhyun then wowed the audience by perfectly performing a medley of Sung Si Kyung’s hits with just an accompaniment. To top it off, the two legendary balladeers delivered a perfect vocal synergy with a duet of ‘As Time Goes By’.

Then, Tiffany Young became the first member of Girls’ Generation to visit ‘The Seasons’, performing her solo track ‘Summer’s Not Over’. She expressed her excitement, saying, “There aren’t many stages where I can perform live with a full band, so I’m very happy,” and added that her fellow members cheered her on. Sung Si Kyung recalled their connection before Girls’ Generation debuted, mentioning they attended the same fitness center and that he laughed when he first heard the group’s name. Tiffany Young agreed, noting they were also a bit flustered at first.

Tiffany Young, who lived in the US until her third year of middle school, shared that she listened to Sung Si Kyung’s ‘Chama’ a lot during her trainee days. She caused a burst of laughter by admitting, “Since I didn’t know Korean well back then, I thought ‘Chama’ meant ‘Cham-a’ (endure/hold it). The lyrics ‘I bite my lips, I only look at my toes’ were so comforting to me.” She also brought back memories for the audience with a charming solo version of ‘Girls’ Generation’.

Finally, Lee Chaeyeon appeared to perform ‘KNOCK’, a song that gained huge love through challenges. Sung Si Kyung praised her, saying, “It felt like a stage where people could truly enjoy themselves because of the performance. She’s so good that I was drawn in.” Moved by the praise, Lee Chaeyeon actually burst into tears, bringing warm smiles to the audience. Adding to the meaning of the moment, Lee Chaeyeon’s mother was also in the audience. She revealed herself as a “true fan,” stating, “Most of my playlist consists of Sung Si Kyung’s songs. I listen to him more than ITZY or Chaeyeon.” She even threw a curveball, joking, “Sung Si Kyung is the most heart-fluttering and cool when he’s singing on stage. I hate ‘Meok-eul-ten-de’.”

Lee Chaeyeon shared her journey to becoming a singer, saying, “I tried other hobbies like art, violin, and piano when I was young, but I realized I’m happiest when I’m dancing.” The self-proclaimed dance queen captivated viewers with a high-difficulty impromptu dance performance. She expressed her hopes as a solo artist, saying, “I think I’ve always craved and missed the stage. I want to perform to my heart’s content on various stages in the future.”

Meanwhile, ‘The Seasons – Sung Si Kyung’s Gomak Namchin’ airs every Friday at 11:10 PM on KBS 2TV.
