tripleS Nakyoung recently got real about her sibling dynamics with her older sister, singer BIBI.
On May 14, Nakyoung and fellow member Yooyeon appeared as guests on the “Truman Show” segment of the YouTube channel ‘Ipman Yeolmyun’. During the episode, Nakyoung shared some behind-the-scenes stories about appearing on various variety shows with BIBI, showing off their unique sisterly bond.
When MC Lee Yong-jin asked who usually suggests appearing in content together, Nakyoung replied, “It’s 100% my sister.” She added, “My sister often tells her celebrity friends or production staff that she wants to appear with her younger sister. I’m always so grateful for that.”
Nakyoung also shared her honest thoughts on being known as “BIBI’s sister.” She explained, “People often ask if it’s burdensome or difficult because of my sister, but I really don’t feel that way at all.” She continued, “Instead, she’s a reliable and thankful presence in my life.”
The conversation then turned to their childhood fights. Nakyoung mentioned, “My sister moved to Seoul when she was around 20, so my childhood memories are a bit blurry.” However, she quickly added, “I don’t remember why I was hit, but I do remember being grabbed by the collar and pushed against the balcony window,” which left everyone laughing.
Lee Yong-jin joked, “At that point, maybe you don’t remember why you were hit because you actually fainted,” causing Nakyoung to burst into laughter as she recalled the moment.
Despite the chaos, she emphasized that they are now closer than ever. Nakyoung added a heartwarming touch by bragging about BIBI’s love for her, saying, “My sister gives me a lot of pocket money.”
Meanwhile, tripleS is currently promoting as a full 24-member group, and BIBI continues to be active in both music and acting.
