Actor and singer Han Sun-hwa recently shared some heartwarming behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of ‘Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness’.
On May 11, Han Sun-hwa met with listeners as a special DJ on MBC Radio’s ‘Hope Song at Noon with Kim Shin-young’.
During the show, she shared a touching story from a listener who said, “Thanks to Sun-hwa, my commute song has changed to Psy’s ‘Art’. Seeing her perform this as a wedding song in the drama made me cry, realizing how reassuring it is to have someone on your side even when the whole world is against you.”
Reacting to this, Han Sun-hwa spoke about the viral wedding song scene. “Actually, that was a scene that made me cry even while I was reading the script for the first time,” she recalled. “It was such a moving moment, and senior Goo Kyo-hwan even mentioned, ‘Doesn’t everyone who reads this scene find it touching?'”
She also revealed a fun detail about the song choice. “Originally, Psy’s ‘Art’ wasn’t the planned song, and we were all debating what to use. Senior Goo Kyo-hwan suggested BeyoncĂ© because the character Jang Mi-ran is so passionate, but due to several factors, I suggested Psy’s ‘Art’ first. The director loved the idea, and that’s how it happened!”
Han Sun-hwa added, “I feel so proud and happy that so many people were touched by that scene and loved it.”
Meanwhile, Han Sun-hwa is currently starring as Jang Mi-ran in the JTBC drama ‘Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness’.
