Heo Kyung-hwan Questions Jang Dong-min's Health Over Bad Breath During Chaotic 'Droplet Soccer' on 'Choi Woo Su San'

Jang Dong-min left a strong impression on viewers, completely dominating the scene with his unique presence.

In the May 10th episode of MBC’s ‘Choi Woo Su San’, the cast faced an extreme hike at Daedunsan Mountain, resulting in an explosion of raw variety show humor.

The episode revealed the reward for Jang Dong-min, who was selected as the first “Best Member.” The production team promised a “10% increase in appearance fee,” and the PD actually deposited the amount on the spot in front of everyone. The members couldn’t hide their jealousy over this “real-life benefit,” instantly heating up the atmosphere.

The destination for the members was Daedunsan, one of Korea’s 100 most famous mountains. The rewards for this hike were even more lavish: a 10% pay increase ticket, a cable car descent ticket, and a luxury stay at a place where Nobel Peace Prize winner Gorbachev once stayed. Jang Dong-min showed his greed, saying, “My father-in-law comes here often,” while Yang Se-hyung boasted their friendship, replying, “I’ll give it to you if I win.”

After briefly admiring the spring scenery, the members were quickly exhausted by the “Stairway to Heaven” style stone steps. While panting up the mountain, Jang Dong-min didn’t hesitate to plunge his face into a valley stream to wash up. When a small spring appeared between the steps, Heo Kyung-hwan joked, “Please wash your face here too,” and Jang Dong-min complied without hesitation, leaving the set in laughter.

The first “Acorn Mission” featured the show’s signature game, “Lung Capacity Mouth Soccer.” Wearing mouthpieces, members had to move a ball using only their breath, which naturally meant facing each other’s bad breath head-on.

Jang Dong-min’s performance was particularly standout. When he started drooling during the match, Yang Se-hyung was disgusted, saying, “Even though we’re on the same team, this is gross,” and shouted, “This isn’t Mouth Soccer, it’s Droplet Soccer,” causing an explosion of laughter. Heo Kyung-hwan also questioned, “Hyung, is your stomach not doing well?” In response, Jang Dong-min shocked everyone by spitting out water he had in his mouth. The scene became a chaotic mix of laughter, screams, and shock.

Meanwhile, Boom was unfortunately eliminated after falling for a trap. The production team disguised themselves as a mother and daughter hiking and approached him saying, “We’re fans.” Boom unknowingly ate the chocolate they gave him and lost his eligibility to participate. The members teased him for falling for it so easily, leaving Boom feeling wronged.

The hike continued with endless stairs and inclines. The members lamented, “Achasan was a happy mountain compared to this,” and looked longingly at the cable cars passing overhead. Despite being out of breath, they continued to greet other hikers, adding a heartwarming touch.

Overall, the episode evoked nostalgia for old-school variety shows with its simple physical games and raw reactions. Jang Dong-min’s bold wit, slapstick comedy, and the “bad breath crisis” provided intense laughter for viewers.
