Hwang Hye-young, formerly of the group Tutu, reminisced about her past popularity.
Hwang Hye-young appeared as a guest on TV Chosun’s ‘Perfect Life’ broadcast on the 13th.
Upon Hwang Hye-young’s appearance, MC Hyun Young recalled her past look, saying, “Unnie is like the Jennie of the 1990s. A blunt bob, a mini skirt, and a vacant gaze.”
To this, Hwang Hye-young proved her extraordinary popularity, saying, “Back then, I usually had 11 to 12 schedules a day.” She added, “Since travel time is an issue, I tried motorcycles and even helicopters. During rush hour, when the traffic was too heavy, I went to the Han River and took a boat to Yeouido.”
She also caught attention by sharing an episode about how Seo Taiji and Boys recognized Tutu’s popularity, mentioning, “We were very popular at military bases. Seo Taiji and Boys were the ending act for the Stage of Friendship, and we were right before them.”
