Actress Hwang Jung-eum shared the story behind the emergency call she made to her father, who had been staying in Jeju Island.
On the 26th, a video titled “Day of self-dyeing hair with 72-year-old dad” was uploaded to Hwang Jung-eum’s YouTube channel. In the video, she naturally shared her daily life spending time with her father in her new home.
When the production team asked if her father was currently living with her, Hwang Jung-eum laughed and explained, “My mom and I had a fight, and she left the house for a bit.” She added, “So I sent an emergency SOS to my dad in Jeju and told him to come right away.”

Hwang Jung-eum showed her realistic daughter side, saying, “The reason I originally sent my dad back to Jeju was so he could rest instead of running a business.” She laughed, adding, “Dad is the type to get absorbed in things he likes rather than making money, so if he opens a cafe, it won’t be profitable.”
Her father joked back, “I opened a cool bakery cafe in Jeju, and you made a fuss about why I was doing it, but now you’re calling me home,” bringing laughter to the scene. However, he immediately showed his affection for his daughter, saying, “Jung-eum is the pillar of our house.”
Hwang Jung-eum calmly shared, “I became the breadwinner since High Kick and We Got Married,” and “I’ve been responsible for the whole family since then.”
When her father suggested, “I should live by my own ability now,” Hwang Jung-eum was surprised and waved her hand, saying, “No, don’t do anything,” showcasing their realistic father-daughter chemistry.
At the end of the video, her father gave her heartfelt advice, saying, “My daughter should move forward quietly and with a humble attitude right now. If you stay calm and don’t stand out too much, opportunities will come.”
