He added a heartwarming touch by politely calling the MCs ‘sunbaenim’, saying, “New youngest members keep appearing these days. I usually called them hyung or uncle on broadcasts, but today I’ll try calling them sunbaenim.”

Hwang Min-ho named his older brother, Hwang Min-woo, as his ‘life mentor’. Recalling his childhood, he said, “I developed my dream of becoming a trot singer while watching my brother’s performances. We appeared on ‘Voice Trot’ together when I was in first grade.”

He also shared an anecdote about receiving vocal coaching from his mentor and senior, Kim Yon-ja, after his debut. Hwang Min-ho caused laughter by revealing, “I had to sing Teacher Kim Yon-ja’s ‘Bling Bling’ on a competition program, and it was such a difficult song. But during the competition, my front tooth fell out, so my pronunciation was off.”

The broadcast continued with Hwang Min-ho’s diverse talents. He received an enthusiastic response by performing a trot version of the national children’s song ‘100 Great People Who Shined Korea’. Then, transforming into a trot teacher, he shared his know-how on the unique ‘kkeokgi’ (vocal twisting) technique, saying, “If you twist too much, it loses its flavor; you have to twist properly just once,” and “A song needs a punch. You have to scratch it slightly at the end.”

In particular, Hwang Min-ho proved his immense popularity by revealing that he received not only pocket money but even a safe as a gift from fans during event performances.

Meanwhile, Hwang Min-ho touched hearts with his growth while challenging himself with choral singing on the recently concluded tvN show ‘Ensemble’. He plans to continue his active promotions through various music and stages in the future.
