Singer Hwasa got candid about her thoughts on dating and loneliness during a meeting with Kang Min Kyung.
A video titled “Sunbaenim, is that all you ate?” was recently uploaded to the channel ‘GyangMingKyung’. In the video, Kang Min Kyung explained that they became close after Hwasa appeared as a guest at a Davichi concert. Following Hwasa’s suggestion, the two appeared in matching business casual outfits. Hwasa lightened the mood by sharing employee IDs made by a stylist with Kang Min Kyung.
After moving to a makchang restaurant, the conversation turned to dating and loneliness. When Kang Min Kyung asked, “Do you live alone now? How is it?” Hwasa replied, “I used to love living alone, and while I still do, it’s a bit boring lately.” She added, “I think loneliness is fate. It feels like a good driving force,” and noted that “loneliness brings various thoughts.”
Questions about her ideal type followed. Hwasa explained, “These days, I like someone who makes me laugh a lot. Someone who makes me feel happy and amused when we talk, and someone I think about the next day.” She added, “I feel happy when I find someone I want to meet and hang out with quickly.” However, she confessed she isn’t the type to be proactive with communication, saying, “I’m not great at staying in touch.” When the topic of MBTI came up, she mentioned, “When asked how INFPs flirt, they say it’s through their ‘eyes’.”
As Kang Min Kyung burst into laughter, Hwasa revealed her own actual flirting method. She caused more laughter by saying, “I often walk around in pajamas,” and “The best flirting is actually washing my hair before going out.” Hwasa explained, “Because I always wear flashy clothes and stay tense while working, I often just stick to pajamas in my daily life.” Previously, Hwasa was swept up in dating rumors in 2024 with a businessman 12 years her senior, but she later hinted at a breakup on the channel ‘Narae-sik’ last March, stating, “All three of us are single now.”
