On May 6, MAMAMOO member Hwasa appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel “Kim Young-ok.”
In the video, Hwasa shared, “I have two older sisters. I’m the youngest of three daughters.” To this, Kim Young-ok remarked, “You are very blessed. Since long ago, it was said that having daughters brings wealth, while having only sons brings misfortune.”
Hwasa added, “My sisters are all married, and my nieces are all girls. We were so happy being three daughters. The three of us said, ‘We definitely want three daughters,’ but my sisters said it was hard. So I laughed and told them, ‘Sisters, I’ll be the one to have three daughters!'”
Kim Young-ok asked, “But? Is he a bad guy?” Hwasa replied, “No. Dating is still too hard for me. Why is it so difficult?”
Kim Young-ok advised, “In my time, we thought just holding hands meant you’d marry that person, but these days, it’s not a bad thing to date and get to know many people. You date, and if it doesn’t work, you break up; if it’s good, you marry.”
Back in 2023, Hwasa was swept up in dating rumors with a businessman 12 years her senior, reportedly dating for five years. At the time, her agency stated, “It is difficult to confirm as it is a private matter.”
Last year, while appearing on the YouTube channel “Narae-sik” with model Han Hye-jin, Hwasa hinted at a breakup by saying, “Aren’t the three of us single now?”
Meanwhile, MAMAMOO is set to make a full-group comeback this June to celebrate their 12th debut anniversary.
