Get ready for a touching stage full of filial piety! The ‘Seniors’ One Heart Festival’ is coming on June 30. Chairman Kwon Seong-hee says, “It’s a festival for seniors to enjoy through talent donations!”

Now in its 28th year, this event is sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Hana Bank. It’s a true celebration of ‘Hyo’ (filial piety) culture, where thousands of seniors are invited for free to enjoy performances, meals, and various gifts.
Since its start in 1984, the ‘Seniors’ One Heart Festival’ has become a representative cultural event for the elderly in Korea. It’s been loved for a long time for its mission to bring joy and comfort to seniors who are often left out of the performing arts scene.
More than just a show, it’s a place of warm sharing, providing free performances along with lunch boxes, drinks, and souvenirs.

The lineup will be a mix of nostalgic legends and rising young stars to bridge the generational gap. The energetic MC Jo Young-gu will be leading the festivities!
Chairman Kwon Seong-hee, who has led the Korea Entertainers One Heart Association for 15 years, shared, “We invite seniors who have difficulty accessing performance culture for free meals and shows.” She added, “While trot singers from the association are the core, we’ve specially invited nostalgic singers and young stars to make the stage even richer.”
She further noted, “So many artists are participating through talent donations, almost every singer who appears on Gayo Stage is joining in, which the seniors absolutely love!”

Last year’s festival was a huge success, with about 5,000 seniors from the Seoul area attending. Around 30 performers, including Chairman Kwon, popular singers, traditional musicians, and art troupes, received thunderous applause. The event ran from noon into the afternoon, with the Jangchung Gymnasium filled with seniors singing along and having a blast.
Above all, the ‘Seniors’ One Heart Festival’ holds a meaning deeper than just a flashy show. Through the voluntary donations of numerous singers and the support of sponsoring organizations, it has become a symbol of our society’s warm culture of filial piety, gifting seniors an unforgettable day every year.
