Ha Ju-yeon, formerly of Jewelry, shared an honest update about her life, including her surprising consideration of applying for the dating show ‘I am Solo’.
On the 15th, a video titled “The Reason Jewelry’s Ha Ju-yeon Didn’t Appear with the Reformed Seo In-young | Life of a Single” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Annyeonghasemyo’.
In the video, Ha Ju-yeon shared her daily routine of commuting to a showroom located in Seoul Forest. She is currently working as a staff manager at a showroom for a French kitchenware brand. Laughing, she clarified, “I’m a staff manager, not the owner,” sharing the reality of her life as an office worker.
She also spoke candidly about her earnings during her time with Jewelry. Recalling those days, she said, “My family managed everything, so I don’t know exactly how much I earned. I think I only received the fees from events.”
Her choice of lunch was equally humble. Ha Ju-yeon mentioned, “Anything over 10,000 won is expensive,” adding that she often visits places like snack bars where meals are under 10,000 won. She then visited a sundae-guk (blood sausage soup) restaurant, bringing laughter with her easygoing charm as she enjoyed the kkakdugi (cubed radish) broth.
Her stories about living alone also caught attention. Ha Ju-yeon said, “I usually eat alone, so it’s nice to have someone with me,” and revealed, “I often watch ‘I am Solo’ when I’m by myself.” She then made a surprising confession: “I actually tried to apply and even sent an email.” However, she shared the disappointing reason why it didn’t happen, saying, “Song Hae-na told me I couldn’t. She said it wouldn’t work.” She added that she even practiced using the name “Young-sook,” which caused a burst of laughter.
She also shared her honest thoughts on marriage and single life. “Living alone isn’t bad,” she said, adding, “My mom also tells me to live comfortably and enjoy myself.” However, she noted that she has changed a lot, saying, “I now strike up conversations first when I meet people.”
