I.O.I shared their honest feelings about their 8-month promotion period.
In the May 16 episode of JTBC’s variety show ‘Knowing Bros’ (episode 529), girl group I.O.I members Lim Na Young, Yoo Yeon Jung, Kim So Hye, Chungha, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, and Jeon Somi transferred to the school to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary reunion.
During the show, when mentioned that they only promoted for 10 months in the past, I.O.I clarified that it was actually closer to 8 months, stating, “We had the shortest run among the series,” and “That’s why we have some regrets.”
When asked why their activities were so short, they replied, “We were the start of those kinds of audition programs. Not just us, but the creators didn’t know we would become such a huge hit. It’s a shame because we didn’t leave while the applause was peaking, but rather just as the applause was about to start.”
