Kim So-hye has revealed a completely new side of herself as a total “Dance God”!
I.O.I made a special appearance on the May 16th episode of JTBC’s ‘Knowing Bros’.
Celebrating their 10th debut anniversary, members Im Na-young, Yoo Yeon-jung, Kim So-hye, Jeon Somi, Chungha, Choi Yoo-jung, and Kim Do-yeon reunited on the show. When Kang Ho-dong recalled them as the only “graduates” among the transfer students, the members confirmed they still cherish their diplomas.
Seo Jang-hoon wondered why some members were missing, to which Kim Do-yeon jokingly replied that the others “repeated a year.” It was revealed that Kim Se-jeong and Jung Chae-yeon could not attend due to their drama schedules.
Chungha shared her gratitude toward Kim Shin-young. She mentioned that she sought advice from Kim Shin-young and Kim Young-chul during her time as a radio DJ. While Kim Young-chul seemed to have forgotten, Chungha sparked laughter by admitting she also could not remember exactly what he told her at first.
Soon after, Chungha recalled Kim Young-chul’s advice: “I asked how to maintain a good morning routine, and he told me to pray and reflect on gratitude every morning. He advised me never to lose that sense of gratitude.”
Meanwhile, Min Kyung-hoon noted that ratings spiked when Kim Shin-young and I.O.I appeared. He mentioned that I.O.I’s first appearance helped the show surpass 2% for the first time. Chungha recalled them saying they were “saved” by the group, and Choi Yoo-jung shared that Seo Jang-hoon previously called them “thankful friends” who helped ‘Knowing Bros’.
The members also revealed some new nicknames! Im Na-young’s nickname is “The Little Mermaid” because she is so quiet in the staff group chat. Choi Yoo-jung added that while Na-young was always quiet, she has become even more so during their reunion preparations, often responding with a simple “Yes, it’s good” when asked for her opinion.
Im Na-young explained that she simply enjoys listening to the younger members’ opinions. However, Yoo Yeon-jung joked that Na-young is so quiet she is like a ghost, saying they sometimes do not even realize she is there until the meeting ends.
As for Kim So-hye, her nickname is “Mexmi Sowe.” Jeon Somi explained, “There is a song called ‘Water’ by Tyla. So-hye unnie used to have some trauma with dancing, but she has become a ‘Dance God’ during this practice!” Kim So-hye immediately stood up and danced to the song, leading members to joke that she is always like this when she feels the rhythm. A surprised Choi Yoo-jung and Chungha laughed, telling her, “Do that during practice!”
