I.O.I’s Jeon Somi playfully checked Wanna One, who also reunited around the same time.
In the May 16th episode of JTBC’s ‘Knowing Bros’ (Ep 529), I.O.I members Im Nayoung, Yoo Yeonjung, Kim Sohye, Chungha, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Jeon Somi transferred to the school to celebrate their 10th anniversary since debut.
When Lee Sang-min mentioned, “Some say I.O.I reunited because Wanna One did,” Yoo Yeonjung felt a bit wronged, replying, “We were first!”
Jeon Somi, who is close friends with Wanna One’s Lee Daehwi, stepped up to represent the group. “We were first. We respect, love, and congratulate them on their reunion, but we’ve returned with an album for a meaningful 10th anniversary, so we were first. I hope you can give us a little more attention this time,” she carefully explained.
Im Nayoung even mentioned, “The talk started a year ago,” and Choi Yoojung confidently added, “I’m the secretary, so I have records of our meetings from a year ago” when asked for proof.
