I.O.I will drop ‘Goodbye with a Smile’ (Recorded in 2016) (Prod. Jinyoung), a pre-release track from their 3rd mini album ‘I.O.I : LOOP,’ on music sites today at 6 PM.
‘Goodbye with a Smile’ is an archive track recorded back in 2016, capturing the members’ raw voices and emotions. It holds a heartwarming promise from that era, where they chose smiles over tears and cheered for each other’s futures despite their impending farewell. This greeting from 10 years ago rewinds the clock and leaves a lasting impression that transcends time and space. Producer Jinyoung’s involvement further maximizes the song’s lyrical beauty.
Following this, I.O.I will release their new album ‘I.O.I : LOOP’ on the 19th and hold Seoul performances for their Asia Tour from the 29th to the 31st. Fans are eagerly anticipating the musical synergy created by the members who have grown in their own paths.
I.O.I was a project group formed through the Mnet survival audition ‘Produce 101’ in 2016 and received immense love during their 8-month activity period. After pursuing individual careers, the members shared the surprise news of their reunion to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary.
