Singer and actor Park Ji Hoon has shared some surprising behind-the-scenes stories about how he prioritized character expression over his looks during filming.
On May 6, a video titled “Mom Kim Jung Nan who said ‘I knew it would go well’, and son Park Ji Hoon who made it a reality” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Kim Jung Nan’. The video captures the chemistry between Kim Jung Nan and Park Ji Hoon, who played mother and son in the 2024 film ‘Audrey is so beautiful’.
While reminiscing about the shoot, Kim Jung Nan shared her first impression of Park Ji Hoon. “Since he’s an idol, I expected him to be obsessed with his reflection and a bit flashy, but he had no vanity at all,” she praised. “He looked so disheveled and his eyes were so swollen that I actually thought he had come to set without washing his face. He looked exactly like the character in the story.” Park Ji Hoon then revealed, “I secretly messed up my hair in the bathroom because I was worried I looked too neat,” leaving Kim Jung Nan impressed by his meticulous character analysis.
Park Ji Hoon also opened up about his jam-packed schedule. “I’m currently balancing the Wanna One reunion, my solo music activities, and promotions for my next project,” he shared. “I only had two days off in April. I just go home, shower, sleep, and then head out like a robot as soon as my alarm goes off.”
Hearing this, Kim Jung Nan offered some heartfelt advice. “Having been in the entertainment industry for a long time, I’ve seen many people crumble after a single moment of carelessness,” she said. “The right mindset is most important when you’re successful. I’m sure Ji Hoon will handle it well.”
