Jo Woo-ri has officially become the “scene stealer” of Deokpung Village with a performance that swings perfectly between cold and warm.

In episodes 7 and 8 of the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama Sold Out Again Today (directed by Ahn Jong-yeon, written by Jin Seung-hee, produced by Studio S, Beyond J, and Slingshot Studio) aired on May 13 and 14, Jo Woo-ri played the role of Moon Ae-ra, the owner of “Moon Cafe” in Deokpung Village. She added a burst of energy to the show with her multi-dimensional portrayal of a character who shifts between being prickly and showing her human side.

In the latest episodes, Moon Ae-ra showed her deep passion for her work, proving she is a total “pro” at what she does. While focusing on making macarons, she beamed with a bright smile upon seeing the satisfying results. However, she revealed an unpredictable charm by responding to her neighborhood friend Park Kwang-mo (played by Jo Bok-rae) in a rough dialect.

Moon Ae-ra’s particularly sharp attitude toward people from Seoul added an extra layer of fun to the plot. When Kang Mu-won (played by Yoon Byung-hee) ordered coffee in a gentle Seoul accent, she showed her guard, saying, “Seoul people pay double.” She also perfected the “tsundere” vibe by grumbling, “Stop acting like you know,” while unable to hide a smile when Kang Mu-won praised her coffee. Jo Woo-ri breathed life into the character by flexibly expressing the warm heart hidden behind a chic and indifferent exterior.

Furthermore, Moon Ae-ra sparked laughter with a blunt “fact attack” when Kang Mu-won asked what kind of man she likes, replying, “Exactly the opposite of you.” She also created a chilly atmosphere by criticizing Kang Mu-won’s outfit and shouting in dialect, “Especially that watch, just looking at it makes my blood boil, so take it away quickly!” Through this, Jo Woo-ri densely portrayed the rapidly changing emotional swings, increasing curiosity about the hidden story Moon Ae-ra is keeping.
