“I’m the elite, while Kim Poong is from the streets!”
It is a showdown between ‘Chinese cuisine elite’ Park Eun-young and ‘amateur Chinese cuisine’ Kim Poong.
In today’s (17th) episode of JTBC’s ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’, a 15-minute cooking battle will unfold using ingredients from the couple Kangnam and Lee Sang-hwa.
The first battle features Jung Ho-young and Kwon Seong-jun competing under the theme ‘A dish Lee Sang-hwa would love’. This is especially eye-catching as it is the first time these two have faced off on the show. Kwon Seong-jun, who previously looked up to Jung Ho-young as his mentor, declared, “It’s about time I change mentors,” and even mentioned his next target mentor, leaving the set in laughter.
Kwon Seong-jun further provoked Jung Ho-young, saying, “I don’t think Chef Jung Ho-young even knows what a diet is,” and expressed confidence that he is better suited for this theme after successfully losing about 7kg recently. In response, Jung Ho-young caused an explosion of laughter by empathizing with Kangnam, saying, “My wife also tells me, ‘Don’t eat too much, don’t eat this,’ just like Lee Sang-hwa.” Everyone is curious to see who will take the lead in this first showdown.
The second battle pits ‘Chinese cuisine elite’ Park Eun-young against ‘amateur Chinese cuisine’ Kim Poong. Boasting her perfect record of five consecutive wins against Kim Poong, Park Eun-young confidently stated, “I am the elite of the elite in the world of Chinese cuisine. Since Writer Kim Poong is from the streets, I absolutely cannot lose.” Kim Poong reportedly didn’t back down, stating, “I plan to go all out with Chinese cuisine today.”
The two compete to create a dish that Lee Sang-hwa, who usually manages Kangnam’s healthy diet, would hate. Park Eun-young prepared a dish with a visual that surprised even the other chefs, claiming it would make Lee Sang-hwa faint. Meanwhile, Kim Poong teased a ‘demonic dish’ that would leave the chefs confused. In a hilarious twist, Park Eun-young sneakily used Kim Poong’s chili oil during the process, remaining completely calm while Kim Poong looked on in disbelief. The cast couldn’t stop laughing, asking, “What is this concept?”
After tasting the finished dishes, Kangnam was full of admiration, saying, “I think Sang-hwa would absolutely hate this,” while unable to hide his happiness at tasting such stimulating food after a long time. Even Go Woo-rim added to the anticipation by mentioning that his wife would likely hate the shocking menu as well.
