NEXZ is making a huge impression with their incredible visuals and bold ambitions!
On May 7, the YouTube channel ‘MMTG’ released a video titled “JYP rookie idols who came to continue the 2PM beast-idol lineage | K-pop Special Tutoring (w. NEXZ Tomoya, Yuu).” In the clip, NEXZ members Tomoya and Yuu joined Jaejae for a hilarious and lively chat.
NEXZ is currently drawing attention as the next generation of “beast-idols,” following in the footsteps of 2PM and GOT7. To see if they truly fit the title, Jaejae decided to put the two members to the test.
Yuu was the first up for testing. Jaejae brought up Yuu’s shoulder photos that had gone viral online, noting, “These photos were really hot.” He then used a keyboard about 45cm long to measure Yuu’s actual shoulder width.
Yuu’s shoulders easily surpassed the length of the keyboard. A shocked Jaejae exclaimed, “It looks like it’s close to 60cm,” while Yuu responded with a shy smile.
When Jaejae asked if it was bone structure or muscle, Yuu replied, “I think it’s muscle.” To verify if it was “fashion muscle” or the real deal, Jaejae proposed a push-up challenge currently trending on global social media. Yuu nailed the challenge with ease, and Tomoya also volunteered and succeeded, leaving everyone impressed.
The conversation then shifted to Tomoya’s impressive ambition. Jaejae remarked, “Tomoya seems like the ambitious type,” adding that he has been talking about J.Y. Park wherever he goes since before his debut.
Tomoya couldn’t hide the fact that he is a “true fan” of J.Y. Park. He admitted, “I actually like him,” and caused a laugh by revealing, “I even have two pieces of J.Y. Park merchandise in my bag today.”
Surprised, Jaejae asked if he actually paid for the merch, and Tomoya nodded, confirming his fan status. Jaejae shook his head in disbelief, noting that Tomoya says he loves the PD whenever he gets the chance.
With such big ambition comes an even bigger goal. Jaejae jokingly asked, “People like this usually climb high. Are you aiming for a director position at JYP?” Without a moment’s hesitation, Tomoya replied, “First a director, and then I want to be the CEO,” sending everyone into fits of laughter.
Taken aback by his huge aspirations, Jaejae joked, “I think he’s actually aiming for it. Will the company name JYP change to TMY in the future?” adding to the laughter.
