Actress Park Ji-hyun is touching the hearts of many by sharing behind-the-scenes stories from ‘Eunjung and Sangyeon’ and opening up about a heartbreaking family history she has never revealed before.
In a recently released teaser for a variety show, Park Ji-hyun shared deep insights into ‘Eunjung and Sangyeon’. Recalling the location shoot in Switzerland, she sparked curiosity about the project by introducing her character, Sangyeon, as someone who was very ill.
Most of all, the atmosphere on set turned solemn when Park Ji-hyun shared a personal confession triggered by the script. She calmly revealed the heartbreaking fact that her father had actually battled cancer.
Recalling the relief she felt at the time, she said, “Fortunately, my father’s condition had improved a lot by the time I received the script.” She then honestly shared the deep sorrow, pain, and affectionate love she felt as a daughter, mentioning a desperate moment when her father said, “I would have wanted to die if it weren’t for my family,” during his illness.
