Jeon Bae-soo radiated a powerful presence on screen.
Actor Jeon Bae-soo delivered a stellar performance as Young-soo, the dependable leader of the “8-Person Group,” in the JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness’, which came to a close on May 24.
Jeon Bae-soo brought warmth to viewers by portraying Young-soo’s kindness as he looked after all the members, including Dong-man (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), who struggled to fit in. He served as a key figure who held the group’s wavering friendship together during crises, adding depth to the story’s narrative.
In the final 12th episode, Young-soo attended the celebration party for Dong-man’s debut as a film director, leading the mood with an enthusiastic congratulatory speech. Jeon Bae-soo added layers to his character by capturing Young-soo’s genuine joy and pride for his dear member’s new start, blending cheerfulness with deep emotion.
This led to a wave of praise from viewers, with comments such as, “I grew even more fond of the 8-Person Group because of Young-soo,” “Jeon Bae-soo’s acting is cheerful yet touching,” “Jeon Bae-soo makes even ordinary lines feel human,” “His subtle acting makes the emotional delivery even stronger,” “He’s like a friendly uncle usually, but he was so cool during his charismatic leader moments,” and “I can’t wait for Jeon Bae-soo’s next project.”
