Jeon Somi recently expressed her frustrations regarding her past activities.
On May 8, a video titled “Do you guys want to make a comeback? | Zip Daesung ep.106 I.O.I (Somi, Yoojung, Sohye)” was uploaded to the channel ‘Zip Daesung’.
During the episode, Jeon Somi mentioned having lingering regrets about her past. She noted that as a “pioneer” of audition programs, she had many unresolved feelings. Despite I.O.I being incredibly busy, they never even had the chance to go on a tour. Daesung teased them, saying, “You just filled other people’s plates.”
To this, Jeon Somi replied, “I am truly grateful for the programs, but there was one thing I really hated. I did it for the sake of our music, but it was a haunted house experience. It was so scary. I was only 16 years old.”
Daesung empathized, mentioning that appearances on a broadcasting station’s variety shows were often bundled as a set with appearances on music shows. Yoojung added, “I feel like (kids these days) do it all,” while Sohye noted, “We were active for a year, but these days, promotions last even longer.”
