Actress Jeon Yeo-been is officially joining the cast of ‘Hok-haneun Romance’!
On the 15th, Management mmm announced, “Jeon Yeo-been has been cast in ENA’s new drama ‘Hok-haneun Romance’.”
‘Hok-haneun Romance’ tells the story of a star anchor dealing with early menopause and a “ssammai” writer who were once rivals. While trying to save a show with the lowest ratings, they end up reviving their dormant romance cells. Jeon Yeo-been will play the role of Seo Hae-yoon, a writer at the YCB newsroom.
Seo Hae-yoon is responsible, resourceful, and has a warm heart, prioritizing her juniors over her own interests. However, her nickname is the “ssammai writer.” Having hopped between various newsrooms for over 10 years, she is someone who lives for ratings, even if it means dealing with sensational and gossip-heavy news.
Her life takes a turn when she suddenly meets the perfectly handsome Na Yi-jun (Jung Kyung-ho), the face of YCB news. The two unexpectedly find themselves in the same boat. As they clash and eventually bond, their romance is expected to warm the hearts of viewers.
Her agency shared, “Jeon Yeo-been will deliver a sly and captivating performance as Seo Hae-yoon. Thanks to her ‘max-level’ social skills developed while surviving the broadcasting world with grit and determination, she will provide great entertainment with her witty talk and fiery personality.”
While she showed sharp charisma and solemnity in her previous work ‘Good Woman Bu Se-mi’, she will now showcase 200% realistic, life-oriented acting. Fans are curious to see what new charms and faces she will reveal in ‘Hok-haneun Romance’ as she continues to excel across all genres.
Meanwhile, ‘Hok-haneun Romance’ is scheduled to air on ENA in the first half of 2027 and will also be available via Genie TV.
