Jun Ji-hyun's Secret to Staying Focused: Her Unique On-Set Diet and Icebox!

Actress Jun Ji-hyun is leaving everyone in awe with her thorough self-management, even bringing her own specific diet to the filming set.

On the 8th, a video titled “Gunche Team and Waggle on the Yeon-niverse | Na Young-seok’s Waggle Waggle” was released on ‘Channel Fullmoon’.

The video featured director Yeon Sang-ho and actors Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-bin, and Kim Shin-rok from the movie ‘Gunche’, which is set to open on the 21st.

During the episode, director Yeon Sang-ho shared, “Jun Ji-hyun has different eating habits from us. She brings her own food and even told me to try things like celery.” Koo Kyo-hwan added, “Sunbaenim has her own icebox.”

When Na Young-seok asked if she brings these snacks to the set or company dinners, director Yeon replied, “She brings so much that she shares it with everyone. I was really impressed by some beef jerky she gave me. It wasn’t the kind of jerky I’m used to; I thought of convenience store jerky, but I’ve never had anything like that before.”

Na Young-seok noted, “It seems Jun Ji-hyun values her meals and health very much.” To this, Jun Ji-hyun explained, “When filming, if I eat too much, I can’t concentrate and I get sleepy, so I think I pay extra attention during shoots.”

Jun Ji-hyun also mentioned that she enjoys exercising to stay in shape, saying, “I do PT, and these days, I’m doing kickboxing.” She shared a funny story: “I went to do boxing, but the teacher kept telling me to kick. I was wondering, ‘Why does he keep teaching me to kick?’ only to find out it was a kickboxing teacher.” She added, “Now that I’m doing it, I really want to kick well and find myself thinking about whether I should kick this way or that way.”

She further added, “When we were young, there were many moments where we played until our hearts raced. As we get older, those moments disappear. But with kickboxing, I exercise until I’m truly breathless, which feels great.”
