Apink member and actress Jung Eunji returned to the DJ seat for a special appearance, filling in for broadcaster Kim Shin-young.
On the May 13 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s ‘Jung-oh-ui Huimang-gok Kim Shin-young-imnida’ (hereafter ‘Jung-hee’), Jung Eunji stepped in as the special DJ while Kim Shin-young was away on a business trip and vacation.
During the opening, Jung Eunji jokingly shouted to Kim Shin-young, “Are you watching? I’m going to take over now!”
She quickly added, “I’m sorry. I know so many people adore her, I was just playing around. I’ve been a guest several times, so I feel familiar with the show, but this is my first time as a special DJ. For those who know, I sat in a similar spot in a neighboring neighborhood at the same time for about 2 years and 8 months. I think it’s great to just drop by and play like this.”
Jung Eunji shared that she studied up since it had been a while since she last DJed. “When I did radio before, my members always told me, ‘You sound like a radio DJ when you talk. It’s like you’re hosting.’ I wondered if that would come back, and it did. It’s like the Pavlov’s dog effect,” she joked. When told she didn’t seem nervous, she lamented, “I’m shaking from my core, but it’s unfair that it doesn’t show!”
She also mentioned receiving messages asking why she was in Sangam-dong after seeing news of her overseas performances, with some asking, “Did you fly back just to be a special DJ?” Jung Eunji replied, “That’s right! I flew back quickly to be the special DJ. I’ve been back for a few days. Apink’s tour recently ended, and I had a wonderful time with the fans.”
Jung Eunji even bragged about her preparation, saying, “I went to the beauty shop today for the first time in a while. I never even went to a shop when I was in Yeouido, but I did because I’m visiting someone else’s house.”
Meanwhile, Jung Eunji previously served as the DJ for KBS Cool FM’s ‘Jung Eunji’s Music Plaza’ from July 2019 to March 2022.
