Jung Kyung Ho and Jeon Yeo Been, along with Choi Dae Hoon and Kang Mal Geum, are coming together as couples who find themselves irresistibly drawn to one another.

ENA announced on May 15 that actors Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Yeo Been, Choi Dae Hoon, and Kang Mal Geum have confirmed their appearances in the new drama “Tempting Romance” (Directed by Lee Chang Min, Written by Lee Re).

“Tempting Romance” is a romantic comedy about a star anchor suffering from early menopause and a “low-brow” writer who were once rivals. While trying to save a show with the lowest ratings, they end up reviving their withered romance cells. It depicts the deep, mature love of a man and woman who reached an age where a racing heart is mistaken for an arrhythmia and standing up makes their bones creak, yet they finally discover the taste of love.

Jung Kyung Ho will transform into Na Yi Jun, the face of the YCB newsroom, while Jeon Yeo Been will play Seo Hae Yoon, a “low-brow” writer who chases sensational items and ratings. Na Yi Jun, who had a stellar career as YCB’s youngest anchor, faces the biggest crisis of his life due to early menopause syndrome. Struggling with sudden emotional outbursts and temperature regulation during live broadcasts, he is eventually told to step down from the main news. He then reluctantly takes over a current affairs program with the lowest ratings, where he meets Seo Hae Yoon, a writer who seems to have zero refinement.

Having spent over 10 years navigating various newsrooms, Seo Hae Yoon is a writer who doesn’t hesitate to use gossip if it boosts ratings. Though called “low-brow,” she possesses a strong sense of loyalty toward her juniors. However, her already chaotic life is made even more dizzying by the sudden appearance of the “elite” YCB insider, Na Yi Jun. The chemistry between Jung Kyung Ho and Jeon Yeo Been, both known as “guaranteed hits” who excel in everything from romance to genre pieces, is the biggest highlight of this project. Notably, Jeon Yeo Been previously set a record as the second-highest rated ENA drama with “Good Woman Bu Se Mi” last year. The two actors will portray a mature romance where health concerns come before fluttering hearts, but their late-blooming romance cells lead to an even more intense attraction.

Choi Dae Hoon and Kang Mal Geum will play a divorced couple, bringing realism to romance in one’s 40s. Choi Dae Hoon plays Ji Han Soo, a YCB reporter who dreams of becoming an anchor like his best friend Na Yi Jun but repeatedly fails due to a fatal pronunciation problem. Despite the scars of a failed first marriage where he gave his all to love, he remains a romantic at heart. Kang Mal Geum plays Heo Mi Eun, a broadcast writer and loyal friend whom Seo Hae Yoon looks up to like an older sister. She has a unique taste, preferring “sturdy” men over “pretty boys.”

Ji Han Soo, who lived a life without a racing heart, finds his ideal “sturdy” type in Heo Mi Eun, sparking another tempting romance. Their shared experience of divorce becomes the catalyst for them to grow close quickly. Choi Dae Hoon, the star of the “Hak-ssi” syndrome, and Kang Mal Geum, who sparked the “Chan-shil” craze, are “acting guarantees” who leave a lasting impression with every appearance. Their skill in realistic, everyday acting is expected to add wings to the authenticity of the divorced couple’s story.

The production team stated, “We will begin filming soon, starting with the first script reading. We expect the synergy between Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Yeo Been, Choi Dae Hoon, and Kang Mal Geum to perfectly cook up the rich flavor of adult romance. Unlike the youth rom-coms of early next year, we will return with a romantic comedy that you can’t help but be tempted by.”

Meanwhile, “Tempting Romance” is a collaboration between director Lee Chang Min of “Agency” and rookie writer Lee Re. It is scheduled to air in the first half of 2027.
