CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa has brought home a prestigious award from a major music ceremony in the Chinese-speaking region!
On the 23rd, Jung Yong Hwa attended the ‘2026 hito Music Awards’ held at the Taipei Arena and won the ‘hito Overseas Singer-Songwriter Artist Award’.
The ‘2026 hito Music Awards’ is an annual event for the Chinese-speaking music industry hosted by the Hit Fm network. This marks Jung Yong Hwa’s first time appearing on a major Taiwanese awards stage since his debut, proving his unwavering popularity and influence in the region.
Along with his win, Jung Yong Hwa put on a special collaborative performance. He made a surprise appearance during J.Sheon’s ‘Don’t Ask’ stage, showcasing his fluent Chinese, powerful vocals, and incredible stage presence. They also performed CNBLUE’s ‘I’m a Loner’ together, receiving an enthusiastic response from the local crowd.
Jung Yong Hwa also prepared a medley of his hit songs to showcase his musical journey. He delivered a wide musical spectrum, singing his solo track ‘Your City’, the drama OST ‘You’re Fallen for Me’, CNBLUE’s ‘Love’ and ‘I’m Sorry’, and his solo debut song ‘One Fine Day’.
In his acceptance speech, he shared his heartfelt emotions, saying, “Working on music is the most precious and beloved thing to me. That is why this award feels even more meaningful and special. I am truly happy and grateful that my music is recognized.” He added, “The love you’ve given me is the greatest driving force that moves me for the rest of my life.”
Jung Yong Hwa has been building his own musical world since releasing his first full-length solo album ‘One Fine Day’ in 2015. In 2021, he challenged himself with Chinese songs through his first Chinese-speaking EP ‘和.唱 (STAY IN TOUCH)’, expanding his musical connection across borders and languages. Additionally, he released his third mini album ‘One Last Day’ last year and held the Asia Tour ‘Director’s Cut: Our Fine Days’, further solidifying his global presence. He is expected to continue showing his unique presence through active promotions both domestically and internationally.
