K-Pop Fans Rejoice! ‘THE SHOW’ Returns as a Global Music Program, ‘Space Sympathy’ Also Revived

Get ready, K-Pop fans! SBS Medianet’s beloved music show ‘THE SHOW’ is making a grand comeback on June 2nd, breaking a 7-month hiatus! After 14 years of being a fantastic platform for artists, its production was sadly paused last year when SBS Medianet stepped back from entertainment ventures, leaving fans heartbroken. But now, ‘THE SHOW’ isn’t just returning to air; it’s being reborn as a “global music program”!

The newly revamped ‘THE SHOW’ will air on the SBS LIFE channel. And guess what? 5th generation idols, who are absolutely slaying right now, are being rumored as potential hosts, sending fandoms into a frenzy of excitement! Before its hiatus last year, ‘THE SHOW’ was brilliantly hosted by NCT’s Xiaojun, IZNA’s Jung Se-bi, and CRAVITY’s Hyeongjun.

Meanwhile, ‘Space Sympathy’ made its grand return on the 6th with a special 1700th episode! It featured incredible performances from ‘Hello Rookie’ alumni like Jang Ki-ha, Silica Gel, and Hanroro. And on the 13th, the iconic sibling duo AKMU graced the stage, captivating everyone with an amazing 11-song setlist!

This exciting revival also got a boost from policy support! A whopping 30 billion won from the ‘Domestic Music Industry Coexistence Fund,’ established by the Fair Trade Commission late last year, has been invested. This means EBS now has a “stable production base for the next 4 years”! Plus, the fantastic ‘Hello Rookie’ project, which has discovered and introduced countless stars like Jang Ki-ha and Silica Gel, is also making a comeback. This month’s ‘Hello Rookies’ are Nogi Nok and Sanmanhansiseon.
