Karina Shares Her Firm Philosophy on Money: “Just Run Away!”

Karina Shares Her Firm Philosophy on Money:

aespa’s Karina recently shared her firm philosophy on money, giving the blunt advice to “absolutely not get involved and just run away!”

On the 14th, Harper’s BAZAAR Korea released a video on their YouTube channel titled “Karina is pretty and listens to my worries well #Let’s listen.”

In the video, Karina responded to a worry about struggling to say no to requests, stating that “being honest is the answer.” When it comes to people asking to borrow money, she gave some very realistic advice: “Absolutely don’t get involved and run away. If someone says, \”Please lend me some money,\” I think it’s best to be honest and say, \”I’m sorry, I’m a bit uncomfortable with money issues.\””

Karina added, “Don’t make up lies to refuse. It’s okay to proudly say you’re uncomfortable or that you don’t like it,” emphasizing that “a request is a choice, not a coercion.”

When asked how she handles sadness or the urge to cry, Karina replied, “If I’m sad, I’m sad, and if I want to cry, I cry.” She also mentioned that reaching out for help from those around her is more helpful than expected, adding, “There’s no need to suffer alone. Talking openly with friends is a great way to cope.”

She also opened up about human relationships, confidence, and workplace stress. To a story about being overly sensitive and worrying if others dislike them, Karina noted, “As you mentioned, it’s just overthinking.” She revealed her own approach: “In my case, if I feel that way, I just ask, \”Do you hate me?\”” highlighting that honest communication is more important than letting misunderstandings pile up.

Regarding confidence, she said, “Asking when you don’t know isn’t something to be ashamed of. Confidence naturally grows that way,” adding that “social life is just one big school.”

Finally, Karina touched on work stress, admitting, “Working can’t always be fun.” She encouraged others to create their own little moments of joy, saying, “I hope you make at least one fun thing a day. Isn’t it a great feeling when you chat about random things or try a silly joke and it actually works? That’s how I live. It’s enjoyable to do what you want as long as you aren’t causing trouble for others.”
