Actor Ki Eun-se has officially apologized and promised to prevent future issues following a controversy over resident discomfort during the interior renovations of her new home in Pyeongchang-dong.
On the 7th, Ki Eun-se’s agency, SubLime, told TV Report, “Ki Eun-se became aware about two weeks ago that some residents had filed complaints regarding parking inconveniences and cleaning during the construction process.” The agency further explained, “She personally apologized to the residents who raised the issues, completed the cleaning of the neighborhood, and took swift action to resolve the traffic difficulties.”
This controversy began on the 27th of last month after a post by a neighbor, referred to as ‘A’, was uploaded online. A strongly protested that construction vehicles for the house Ki Eun-se is moving into had taken over the alley, making it difficult to pass, and that the neighborhood had become dirty with construction waste and dust without proper management. A specifically questioned whether the actress was taking the sacrifice of those around her for granted simply because she is a celebrity.
Ki Eun-se’s side emphasized that they humbly accepted these points and took active follow-up measures. The agency added, “We are currently cleaning the site and surrounding areas daily to maintain cleanliness and are continuously communicating and coordinating with nearby residents to ensure no further inconveniences occur.” Fortunately, A also shared that the conflict is being resolved amicably after receiving an apology and a promise from the site manager to fix the parking and waste issues.
Previously, in March, Ki Eun-se shared the news of moving into an old detached house through her personal channel and revealed the extensive remodeling process. Since the project involves detailed work on the facilities, consideration for neighbors regarding noise and traffic was essential.
The agency asked for further understanding, stating, “We will work closely with the contractor to carefully monitor and manage the site so that no further inconvenience is caused until the construction is completed.” Ki Eun-se plans to prioritize smooth communication with her neighbors as she finishes the renovations.
