The upcoming episode of MBC’s Radio Star airing on the 20th will be a special ‘Radio Star Spring Festival’ featuring Kim Chang-wan, Choi Jung-hoon, Roy Kim, and Hanroro.
During the show, Kim Chang-wan will reveal his first new song in 10 years, ‘Saranghae’, for the first time on television. He shared that he wanted to create a song that everyone could sing together, which is why he decided to include the voices of students.

Kim Chang-wan also shared a funny story from the recording process. He admitted, “I thought students who were great singers would come, but the atmosphere was completely different.” While he was flustered at first, he said the energy shifted completely once the recording began, and he is now very satisfied with the final result.
He also opened up about his age, honestly admitting, “I didn’t realize turning seventy would come so quickly.” However, he soon joked in his signature simple style, “Now that I’m here, being seventy isn’t that big of a deal.” His sincere reflections on aging and life reportedly left the studio feeling touched.
But the mood quickly shifted! Kim Chang-wan took on an MZ generation slang quiz, confidently claiming he knew terms like “Yareu.” However, he sparked bursts of laughter with his bizarre interpretations of words like ‘Neu-joh’ and ‘Picketing’. His pure charm during the string of unexpected wrong answers turned the set into a sea of laughter.
Currently hosting an evening radio show, he also shared his recent updates and personal health routine. He introduced the ‘4-4-8 breathing method’ he practices, which the other guests eagerly tried out.
Most of all, the live performance of ‘Saranghae’ reportedly featured a heartwarming sight as both the guests and the audience joined in for a massive sing-along, raising expectations for the broadcast.
