Kim Doyeon is grabbing attention by sharing behind-the-scenes stories about the same-sex kiss scene in the I.O.I teaser that has everyone talking.
On the 6th, Kim Doyeon mentioned the kiss scene with Jeon Somi through a fan communication platform. This comes after the music video teaser for the title track ‘Suddenly’, released at midnight, went viral for showing Jeon Somi suddenly kissing Kim Doyeon.
When a fan asked, “What were you thinking when you first saw the storyboard?” Kim Doyeon revealed, “You might not believe it, but this was my idea.” To the question of whether they got it in one take, she replied, “We did many takes,” explaining that they filmed it several times.
Regarding Jeon Somi’s reaction, she playfully shared, “There was no panic between us. She did it passionately.” She further explained that she suggested the bold change, saying, “The original reference was a cute scene where she slaps my cheek, but I changed it to a kiss. I told her, ‘Let’s kiss instead of slapping!'”
