Kim Eun-woo Steals the Scene as a Rough Detective in 'Scarecrow'

Kim Eun-woo is leaving a powerful impression as he plays the role of the intense police detective Do Hyung-gu in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Scarecrow’.

As the investigation into Lee Ki-bum (played by Song Geon-hee), a prime suspect in a serial murder case, unfolds urgently, Do Hyung-gu’s persistence and violent nature are fully revealed, ramping up the tension of the series.

In episodes 5 and 6 of ‘Scarecrow’, Do Hyung-gu pushed his suspicions toward Lee Ki-bum as if they were absolute facts. After catching Lee Ki-bum while he was on the run, Do Hyung-gu falsely reported to the police station that he had lost him. In reality, he and Jang Myung-do (played by Jeon Jae-hong) recaptured Lee Ki-bum and locked him in a secret location to force a confession.

During this process, Do Hyung-gu revealed a dangerous side. He did not hesitate to use rough violence and became even more coercive as the case failed to unfold in the direction he wanted, showcasing a detective character mixed with obsession and violence.

Do Hyung-gu’s dangerous side was even more apparent in scenes where he pressured Lee Ki-bum. He showered Lee Ki-bum with sharp words and engaged in rough behavior. Do Hyung-gu’s obsession with solving the case turning into violent pressure created another axis of tension within the investigation drama. His rougher appearance seemed unstable, heightening the suspense over what he might do in future episodes.

Kim Eun-woo handled Do Hyung-gu’s aggressive energy with a powerful presence. With his sharp delivery, a gaze that conveys Do Hyung-gu’s signature pressure, and rough movements, he proved to be a scene stealer who leaves a strong impression every time he appears.

Having revealed the rougher side of detective Do Hyung-gu, expectations are high for Kim Eun-woo’s performance as a scene stealer in the upcoming plot.

Meanwhile, ‘Scarecrow’ broke its own highest viewership record once again in episode 6, which aired on the 5th. The viewership rating for episode 6 (Nielsen Korea paid platform national standard) recorded 7.4%. Along with breaking its own record, it has become the all-time number one drama among ENA’s Monday-Tuesday dramas.
