Comedian Kim Shin-young shared a funny story about a “fistfight” with her senior, Jo Hye-ryun.
On May 19, a video titled “Revealing the filming site of New Woman who failed to hold back laughter at Kim Shin-young’s talent (Sebakwi behind, National Singing Contest, Grandma story, Mo-pal-mo)” was uploaded to the channel ‘Rolling Thunder’.
In the video, Jo Hye-ryun reminisced about her time on the variety show ‘Fist Cries’. She mentioned, “Back in 2006, I had a boxing match with Shin-young on ‘Fist Cries’.”
Jo Hye-ryun recalled, “I had learned boxing for six months for the drama ‘Ttaeryeo’. During the match with Shin-young, I spotted her nose and thought, ‘If I keep hitting her nose, she’ll go down’.”
She continued, “I hit Shin-young’s nose twice, and she immediately lost all her strength and started bleeding from her nose. Then Shin-young said, ‘I don’t want to do this anymore,’ and the match ended,” which sparked laughter.
Kim Shin-young shared her feelings about the match, saying, “Wasn’t it hard? Even though the senior told me I could hit her, how could I actually do it? It was so difficult.”
Jo Hye-ryun also shared a story about a boxing match with Lee Kyung-shil from a time before she had learned boxing. Recalling the moment, Lee Kyung-shil said, “The very idea of women boxing was so funny. I just kept laughing and running away. But after getting hit about twice, I snapped, and from then on, it turned into a total scuffle.”
