Kyung Soo Jin recently opened up about the struggles she faced following a long-term relationship.

In the May 15 episode of tvN’s ‘Gugidong Friends’, Jang Do Yeon, Lee Da Hee, Choi Daniel, Jang Keun Suk, Ahn Jae Hyun, and Kyung Soo Jin gathered to chat about the ups and downs of dating.

While Choi Daniel, Jang Keun Suk, and Ahn Jae Hyun were out on a blind date, Jang Do Yeon, Lee Da Hee, and Kyung Soo Jin spent their time watching ‘I am Solo’. When the conversation turned to dating older or younger partners, Jang Do Yeon expressed her preference for younger men, while Lee Da Hee noted, “Older partners are fine, but it’s becoming harder and harder to meet them.” The three of them struggled to keep a straight face during the discussion.

The mood shifted when the phrase “prime marriage age” was mentioned on the show. Jang Do Yeon reacted strongly, asking, “Where is there such a thing as a prime age?” while Kyung Soo Jin and Lee Da Hee gritted their teeth. The trio jokingly admitted they felt “unnecessarily triggered” by the comment.

Lee Da Hee asked the group, “When do you think the prime marriage age is?” to which Jang Do Yeon replied, “It’s passed,” before quickly adding that she was just joking. Lee Da Hee firmly countered, “Don’t say that. The prime marriage age is something we choose. The moment I decide to do it is the prime marriage age,” before bursting into laughter. Kyung Soo Jin teased her, saying, “Unnie, you’re saying it, but your eyes lack conviction.”

As the show featured a participant struggling after a breakup, Lee Da Hee recalled her own heartbreak after a three-year relationship. “I’ve lost weight due to emotional distress before. When I broke up with someone I had dated for a very long time, I couldn’t do anything,” she shared. “After receiving the breakup notice, I kept holding on. I even went on a trip with my family, but I still couldn’t function. Even now, my heart aches thinking about it.”

She revealed that her ex-boyfriend eventually contacted her again, and they dated for a while longer before finally parting ways. When Jang Do Yeon asked if she felt better during the second breakup, Lee Da Hee replied, “It was okay then. I felt like I had done everything I could for him.”

Listening to this, Kyung Soo Jin also confessed to having a seven-year relationship. “I started dating when I was very young, and back then, my pride was too strong. I caused a lot of pain. We broke up after fighting, and I thought he would be the one to hold onto me,” she admitted.

Kyung Soo Jin continued, “But I had so many regrets that we got back together. After dating for another year, we broke up without any lingering feelings. Because I poured everything into it, I could leave without regrets.” She reflected on her growth, stating, “I realized, ‘This is how you mature.’ Now, I know how to love with my best effort when I meet someone else.”
