They revealed that the song samples the global smash hit “Macarena,” which famously topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for 14 consecutive weeks.
Kim Chaewon and Kazuha appeared on the tvN variety show “Amazing Saturday” on the 16th. The two showed off some great chemistry for the “Partner Special” by dressing up as the characters Shin-chan and Shiro from the famous animation “Crayon Shin-chan.”
With their second studio album “PUREFLOW pt.1” set to drop on the 22nd, the duo shared a major spoiler that has fans buzzing. They revealed, “The title track ‘BOOMPALA’ samples ‘Macarena’,” adding that “the choreography also includes the signature point moves from ‘Macarena’.”
The “Amazing Saturday” cast reacted with excitement, saying things like, “It’ll be easy to follow” and “Even the eldest, Shin Dong-yup, will enjoy it.” The cast even begged for more after Kim Chaewon and Kazuha performed a short snippet of the new song.
