‘Baby Beast’ Chef Kim Si-hyun Takes the Mound for a Special First Pitch!

Chef Kim Si-hyun, who gained massive popularity through ‘Culinary Class Wars 2’, recently stepped up for a ceremonial first pitch.

On the 17th, Chef Kim Si-hyun took the mound as the ceremonial first pitcher before the ‘2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League’ game between the KT Wiz and Hanwha Eagles at Suwon KT Wiz Park.

Chef Kim Si-hyun appeared wearing jeans and a KT Wiz uniform. With her petite frame, her pitching form was the definition of a ‘Baby Beast’.

After giving her absolute best with a serious gaze, Chef Kim Si-hyun showed off her signature cute and bright smile.

In particular, she caught everyone’s attention with her nickname ‘Baby Beast’ engraved on her glove.

Chef Kim Si-hyun appeared as the ‘Black Spoon Baby Beast’ in the hit Netflix original variety show ‘Culinary Class Wars: Class War 2’ (hereafter ‘Culinary Class Wars 2’). She became a hot topic from the very first episode thanks to her adorable looks and gestures.

Previously, on last month’s episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Problem Child in House’, she revealed that she made a bold proposal to her homeroom teacher to get into the Korea Culinary Arts High School, often called the ‘dream school’ for chefs. During middle school, Chef Kim Si-hyun actually started her own after-school cooking class to earn extra points for admission. She confessed, “I went to my homeroom teacher and asked for help in setting up the class, telling them I would bring in the teacher myself.”

She also followed an elite path, working at Michelin 1, 2, and 3-star restaurants. To land a job at Michelin restaurants that rarely post open vacancies, she showed her ‘Baby Beast’ spirit by saying, “I saved up money and visited the restaurants in person to deliver my portfolio and a letter.” She further surprised everyone by revealing, “The probation period is usually three months, but I graduated from it in just two weeks.”
