Comedian Lee Hong-ryul shared a “funny yet sad” update as he prepares to officiate his 74th wedding, jokingly mentioning, “My son isn’t even married yet!”
Oh Ma-ju (Kim Ma-ju, 37) is tying the knot with a non-celebrity groom one year her junior on May 2nd at 3:30 PM at the KT Convention Wedding Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The couple reportedly met at church and grew their love over a relationship lasting more than a year.
According to her agency, Dental Secretary, “Lee Hong-ryul, a senior in the comedy world, will officiate the wedding, while Jung Jae-hyung from ‘Psick University’ will serve as the MC, and Lee Chang-ho from Meta Comedy will perform the celebratory song.”
The wedding will be attended by family, relatives, and many fellow comedians. The couple will set up their new home in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, and will depart for an 11-day honeymoon in Portugal on May 3rd, the day after the ceremony.
Oh Ma-ju is an MBC 20th open recruitment comedian who became well-known through ‘Falling into Comedy’ and ‘The Road to Comedy’. She also built a friendly image through EBS children’s programs like ‘Live Anything Solution’ and ‘After School Dune Dune’, and was loved for her role as Bae Areum-songi in the ’05 is back!’ corner of the YouTube channel ‘Psick University’.
Meanwhile, Oh Ma-ju plans to continue her comedy activities after marriage, and it is reported that the expansion of her broadcast appearances is currently under discussion.
