Singer and actor Lee Hyun-woo recently opened up about a bizarre “death rumor” from his past.
On the 13th, Lee Hyun-woo and Jo Jazz appeared as guests on the SBS Power FM show “Cultwo Show.”
During the episode, DJ Kim Tae-gyun asked Lee Hyun-woo, “You must have been incredibly popular for death rumors to spread about you, right?” To this, Lee Hyun-woo clarified, “It actually had nothing to do with my popularity.”
He revealed, “It happened on April Fools’ Day. Apparently, some students at a girls’ middle school started spreading a rumor via text that ‘Lee Hyun-woo has died.’ Since I had just started doing radio at the time, middle school girls weren’t really my main fan base. I think they just started it for fun.”
He added with a laugh, “When I finally appeared on the live radio broadcast, people were shocked and reacted by saying, ‘He’s alive!'”
