Summi Cho Shares Pride in K-pop and Touching Experience Duetting with EXO's Suho!

Summi Cho held a press conference on the 6th at 2 PM at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her debut on the world stage.

Released on the 5th, Summi Cho’s 40th anniversary special album ‘Continuum’ features 11 tracks that bridge her past, present, and future. In particular, a duet with EXO’s Suho has caught the attention of music fans.

Summi Cho shared, “I am someone who loves and is proud of K-pop. I even listen to EXO’s music while working out. Rather than his popularity, I really appreciated Suho’s comfortable voice and the sense of responsibility and stability he has as a leader. While Suho usually handles the high notes in EXO, he sings a lot of low notes in this song. I believe he took this on as a challenge.”

She added, “I was in New York when Suho was recording in Seoul, so I greeted him via video call and watched the recording process. It was touching to see how much effort he put into practicing. A truly wonderful song was created.”

Meanwhile, Summi Cho is continuing a large-scale project connecting global stages to mark her 40th anniversary. Starting with a performance at the Changwon Seongsan Arts Center on May 9, she will tour about 20 cities across the country through December. Additionally, from July 5 to 11, she will host the 2nd Summi Cho International Vocal Competition at the ‘Château de La Ferté-Imbault’, a historic castle in the Loire region of central France.
